FizzBall

The FizzBall game is the story about a professor who needs to save the animals before they die of hunger. Nobody knows what is going on but while the robots do their research and try to figure it out, somebody has to take care of the dying animals. This particular professor has developed a new adventure, the Fizzball. The Fizzball is a super strong bubble that grows bigger as it collects things. He’s planning to start collecting small objects, like apples and acorns, and as the Fizzball gets bigger, scoop up the animals.
So, how are you going to help the professor? As a matter of fact, you are going to play the professor’s role in this game. You’ll be riding the “fizzball shooter” on the bottom part of the screen. A farms scenario is shown where there are a lot of animals walking around, besides another farm style stuff, like barrels, flowers, and so on. You can move your fizzball shooter sideways on a rail with your mouse. When you think is a good time and position you can shoot a new fizzball by clicking with your mouse. The fizzball will start hitting stuff and bouncing around until eventually it will come back down to you, so you have to hit it back with the shooter. If you miss hitting the fizzball, it will be lost and you will lose a chance, having to start all over again with a new fizzball. So you have to try keeping the same fizball playing as long as you can.
The more things the ball hits, the bigger it gets so it will get ready to pick up the animals, which is the goal of the game in each level. When you pick up all the animals you pass the level. There are some upgrades to take into account that will help you out in your mission. Those upgrades come up when you hit certain objects with your fizzballs, and come down flying hanging from a couple of balloons. You have to place your shooter in the correct position in order to collect the upgrades.
When you enter the game, you’ll see the welcome screen with the following options:
- Change Player: the first time there’s no existing player. After you create one or more, they’ll be saved. When you enter into this submenu, you’ll be asked for a name as a new player. It’s possible to have a list of different players and record their performance. This way, you can play home tournaments with family and friends.
- Play Now: this option leads you to the comic-style introduction to the game. When it’s done you’ll start playing the first level.
- Achievements: to see what you have done up to the moment.
- More Options: this is the menu from which you can set some game options like: sound effects volume, music volume, fever volume, 3D acceleration, colorblind mode, custom cursors, and full screen (on/off). You can also access help information from here.
- Animal Sanctuary: it shows the place where you keep the recued animals and where you take care of them.
- Exit: no further explanation required.
Once you are playing, you can press the PAUSE button on the screen to pause the game, go to the options menu, get back to the game, access help information, restart level, or go back to the main menu.
